In case you do not have ESI Registration, then you will have to take care of all the medication cost to the labourer. You may also have to pay some compensation to him in case some permanent damage has happened to the body and health of the labourer due to injury. If you have ESI Registration even this is not needed since ESI covers this consequence as well and they provide the compensation to the employee.
However, if the injury is caused because of any negligence from your end, a criminal case of Culpable homicide due to negligence can be filed against you.
