As per the Shops and Establishment Act, all shops and commercial establishments need to get the shops and establishment registration. In this act, shops are defined as premises where goods are sold either by retail or wholesale or services are provided to the customers, including an office, a storeroom, a godown, a warehouse, or a workplace. Establishments are defined as shops, commercial establishments, residential hotels, restaurants, eating houses, theatres, or other places of public amusement or entertainment.
